The Death of an Ice Queen

In the loving memory of R.

Windows rolled down, one puff two puff
Inhale once, elongate, hush hush
Keep it in, tiring eyes, crimson blush
Slowly let it go, hazed eyes, mellow mush

Loud rhythm, lip syncing
Matched to the beat, old school repping
Exhausted jaw, hands searching
In sync to the beat, aimless wandering

Rear window, search lights
Wicked ecstasy or mere plight
Fragile heart, cold tongue tied
Don’t let him see, strands of hair in flight

Black and red
Tested and read
Don’t let him see, eyes dead
Grey lead, you’ve bleed

Hush hush delicateness
Mismatching harshness
You’re dead.
And he’s gone.
